CBSE CTET July 2024

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2024. The application process commences from 7th March 2024 and concludes on 5th April 2024. Candidates can make corrections in their application forms from 8th to 12th April 2024. The CTET exam is scheduled for 7th July 2024, with exam cities available from 24th June 2024 onwards.

For the CTET July 2024 exam, the application fee is Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC/EWS candidates applying for a single paper and Rs. 1200/- for both papers (Primary and Junior levels). SC/ST/PH candidates have reduced fees of Rs. 500/- for a single paper and Rs. 600/- for both papers. Fees can be paid online via debit card, credit card, net banking, or through E Challan.

Eligibility criteria vary for the CTET Primary Level (Class I to V) and Junior Level (Class VI to VIII). For the Primary Level, candidates must have passed Senior Secondary with specific marks and completed or be pursuing specified diploma or degree courses in education. Similarly, for the Junior Level, graduation with relevant education qualifications is required.

Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification from CBSE for detailed eligibility codes and norms. Stay updated with the release of admit cards, answer keys, and result declarations as per the schedule provided by CBSE.

CTET Primary Level (Class I to V): Eligibility with Code July 2024

  1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII): Eligibility with Code July 2024

  1. Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  2. At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
  4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
  7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
  8. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
