Eligibility Criteria

Primary Level (Class I to V)
  1. Code 1: Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  2. Code 2: Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms.
  3. Code 3: Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  4. Code 4: Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)
  1. Code 1: Bachelor’s Degree and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  2. Code 2: At least 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  3. Code 3: Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE norms.
  4. Code 4: Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  5. Code 5: Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  6. Code 6: Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education).
  7. Code 7: Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Those pursuing any teacher education courses specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 are also qualified to appear in TET/CTET.
  8. Code 8: Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of the three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
